Hello! Thanks for taking time to read this! Let’s get started by seeing what wisdom is saying in verses 4-6: “Let all who are simple come to my house! To those who have no sense she says, “Come, eat my food and drink the wine I have mixed. Leave your simple ways and you will live; walk in the way of insight.” Notice we’re seeing her mention “simple” and “those who have no sense” again. These are mentioned a lot in the Bible. The reason for this is because a lot of the world is what she’s talking about.
Let’s move to verse 9. Read it, and then read it again. Sometimes I get more out of it if I read it multiple times. Record what you think it means.
Truthfully, it’s talking less about “tell your friend Levi what he’s doing wrong”, but more of “let your friend Tyler correct you; you’ll be wiser still”. Wouldn’t you accept correction if you knew it made you wiser? HERE’S A NEWS FLASH: IT DOES! Correction helps you in several ways, but it does make you wiser! Does that mean it’s easy to accept, even though you know it makes you wiser? Ha, you betcha it doesn’t!
Moving on to verses 10-12. Read it, and then read it again. Be open to understanding it differently each time.
Now, move to verses 17-18, the rest of the chapter. What does this mean? Well, it means that for a while stolen things will be good, but it will catch up to you later.
I hope this has shown you something and I would be very happy to know it does. May you have a blessed week.
